Formed in 1962, Chinnor RFC is a club in the rugby union league in the market town of Thame, Oxfordshire. Rugby requires both strength and skill, in which teamwork depends upon the contribution of each player—each strategic decision a reflect of a larger narrative of the game play. As a close-contact sport, rugby union is inherently tactile by nature. But while rugby is synonymous with the sheer physicality that comes with tackles and scrums, tactility is also an emotional response, as a game that depends upon the close bond of a team, working in unison.
